Back in the saddle again….

I’m back in the driver’s seat and I have to admit…it feels so darn good! Three months after my son was born, I was able to jump back into the game and finish off the season at a Battle of the Imports event. That was in 2008. During that time, I completed my 9-second license AND broke the motor mounts…oops…too much power! Since then I haven’t done much driving. But now we are in 2010, the motor mounts are fixed, and we are up and running.

2010 IDRC West Coast Nationals took place at California Speedway in Fontana. The event went well and we were so incredibly happy with the way the CRX ran. Since it was my first time back since October of 08, I was incredibly nervous as I approached the burn out box. But once the green light came on and I was off and running, my nerves had settled, I was back where I belonged, and it felt incredible!!!

Be sure to check out the event coverage by Urbanracer.com. “Among the faces and teams we were thrilled to see again at Fontana were Nalani and John Whatley, campaigners of a naturally-aspirated K motor-motivated CR-X. Nalani has spent little time in her car since she became a mother two years ago, and the West Coast Nats was her first time behind the wheel in some time.” A huge thank you to Bob and Urbanracer.com for covering the event and continuing to support drag racing!

I’d also like to thank our sponsors for their continued support: Go Power Motorsports, Torco Oil, Darton Sleeves,Kinsler, AEM, Web Cam, Driveshaft Shop and Arias Pistons. It’s great to be back in the game!
